Max and Chris are a multidisciplinary, award-winning creative team working on a wide range of clients. With a love for technology, innovation and creative thinking, they always bring new and surprising ideas to any creative brief. Max being Dutch and Chris being American creates a fun and interesting team dynamic that shines through in their work. It also allows them to seamlessly navigate between very traditional Dutch clients like Bol and more internationally oriented clients like Audi and Philips. With a critical eye and a heart for creativity and originality Max and Chris strive to keep pushing the boundaries of our craft.
Max
Max has been working in the advertising industry for almost 10 years. Having studied graphic design and motion graphics, Max has his roots in Art direction, but transitioned to copywriting after his internship at Ogilvy Amsterdam. He continued his journey at TBWA/NEBOKO, where he build a tropical island for McDonalds, raced cars and baked bread for Heineken and traveled through time for Dutch insurance company Aegon. Now at Dept, he creates 360 campaigns for bol, designs charging stations for Audi and develops interactive stories for Sinterklaas.
Chris
Chris has also been working as a creative for nearly a decade. A transplant from New York, Chris began his career in the city. Following his studies in Fine Art, Graphic Design, and Advertising he switched to copywriting while at BBDO where he spent four years working giant 360 campaigns, dumb little jokes and innovative digital activations for brands like AT&T, Visa, GE, Diageo and The American Red Cross.
In 2018, Chris moved to Amsterdam and joined DDB becoming a multidisciplinary creative working for Dutch and international clients – including Vattenfall, KLM, Dubbel Frisss, and Adidas. After three years in Amstelveen Chris moved to DEPT where he joined forces with Max.
